I am starting to think that this code will never work on my end. The moment my fighter hits anything that can normally destroy it, it gets blown up and I lose a life. In all tests, the code has had no effect what so ever. The game uses Namco Galaga hardware with Rally-X 's video system. It is one of the first video games to feature diagonal directions and a radar. As was common back in the day, gameplay was fairly simple: The player took control of his rocket and blasted off to destroy menacing green space stations, asteroid swarms and frighteningly competent enemy ships. Bosconian ( Bosukonian) is a free-roaming shoot-em-up arcade game released in 1981 by Namco and published in North America by Midway Games. I have also tried holding down the button when starting the game. Blast off Bosconian is a multi-directional Shmup developed by Namco in 1981 and released overseas by Midway later the same year. ![]() I have tried pressing R2 on the main start sreen of Bosconian (the one where your video says "Press R2 now" or something along that line. It also looks like you tested the code with a hacking program while I am testing with a physical Gameshark CD, in this case Gameshark version 4.11. ![]() I on the other hand am testing it with an actual physical Playstation 1 CD on a Playstation 2. Featuring 12 classic games, including: PAC-MAN, PAC-MAN Plus, Bosconian, Galaxian, Mappy, Super PAC-MAN, Galaga, Dig Dug, New Rally X, Pac & Pal. It looks like you tested the code on a copy of the game that you were emulating on a computer, I am guessing using a ROM. I suspect the reason why has to do with the differences between how you tested the code and how I am testing it on my end. Despite the code seeming to work for you, it still hasn't worked for me. I watched the youtube video you linked to. So someone, please hack an invincibility code for me. The only effective way to make progress in this game is with invincibility. It doesn't take all that long for the game to become completely unplayable do to how often you are getting killed and how far you have to travel to get to the space stations you need to destroy. What's worse, each time you die, you re-spawn back at the stage's original spawn point and have to travel all the way back to where you were before dying. It quickly becomes impossible to avoid getting killed. In Bosconian, the further you get in the game, the more and more enemies and other obstacles it throws at you. I know about the various infinite lives codes available here and elsewhere. Along the way, you've got enemy fighters to contend with and the stations themselves also have weapons that they can use to fire back at you. These stations are usually scattered far apart and far from where you spawn upon starting each stage, so you have to travel some distance to reach them. For those unfamiliar with the game, your task is to destroy a series of enemy space stations in each stage.
